SAIMAA TRILOGIA / SAIMAA TRILOGY
Puumala, Nestorinranta, lake Saimaa summer 2021-2023
Kesäteatteriesitys ja esitystaideteos, joka vie katsojat kolmena kesänä aikamatkalle Saimaan menneisyyteen ja tulevaisuuteen. Trilogia valmistetaan yhdessä paikallisen Saaristoryhmän kanssa, joka koostuu vanhemmista teatteriharrastajista.
A summer theatre performance and an atmospheric time travel to the lake Saimaa through thousands of years, together with local elderly performers.
I SOUTAJAT
Soutajat was the first part of a trilogy which takes place in lake Saimaa 2021-2023, exploring the history, present and future of the ecosystem. The performers and the audience were seated on rowing boats.
II NORPAN AIKA
Second part focused on co-existence of local people and very rare Saimaa seal which is about to extinct. The audience was taken to an island with a ferry, where they made a contact with a fictional seal.
III Third part coming at summer 2023, focusing on memories and future.
